All I can say is, "MUTO."

Summer is crazy for me. All 9 months of dreary chillies here in Seattle leave me craving the sun something fierce, so if I go through July and August without fully taking advantage and spending as much time outdoors, swimming or barbecuing as possible, I feel baaaaaaaad about it. This sun-obsession combined with visiting guests, road tripping, a new job, a new house, and an extended week of birthday-related partying, the summer is flying by, and I just flat out haven't been spending a shred of time in my studio, or on my blog, obviously.

There, was that long enough of an excuse for you? Can you tell I'm aflicted with the art-guilt complex?

Well, I can feel the gray skies coming right around the bend, and though I'm hell-bent on getting every possible ounce of fun out of the remaining days of summer, I am gathering excitment over my new studio set-up in my new house, and I'm beginning to gather inspiration as well. Jeremy, don't worry, I WILL finish your portrait!

In the mean time, here are a couple must see videos of the artist BLU's creations. I don't know if you call it animated graphiti or just creativity purely exemplified, but I really dig this stuff, and you gotta take a few minutes to check this shit out. It reminds me I need to draw more.

You can watch them on his website or on youtube, or right here, on my very own blog:

And visit his blog, too.
